Dark Skies, Bright Kids is always open to outside help in the following two ways:

  1. Volunteer your time:

Volunteers are the backbone of DSBK. We are always looking for new volunteers to assist with our weekly outreach activities in rural Albemarle Count. Both undergraduate and graduate students from a variety of majors at UVa routinely participate in DSBK events. No prior astronomy experience is necessary!

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact us.

  2. Donations in kind:

The core of our outreach program is creating hands-on learning experiences for our students. In order both to continue and to enhance our activities, we have generated a wish list. These items are the focus of our fundraising activities.

If you would like to donate directly to DSBK, please follow the instructions at the link below.

We hope to be able to cross more items off of our wishlist thanks to your generosity!
