- Building is oriented to reduce solar gain and to promote natural ventilation
- Material choice responds to orientation
- Single loaded corridors allow light from both ends of the units and allows cross ventilation
- Increased ceiling heights allow sunlight deeper into the unit

SURPLUS

- PV cells are utilized as a design feature and create an icon for the neighborhood
- Energy efficient units use passive systems or site generated power
- Surplus power created on site is fed back into the grid
