Vertical Urban Garden

Ranged along each perimeter balcony are tubs of luxuriant bamboo, forming a shaggy green corona around the building, like some unruly organic coiffure.

White precast concrete containers planted with bamboo adorn the full height of the tower. The self-watering bamboo garden - its growth subject to human whim, varying levels of exposure, and seeds in fl ight - will take new form and transform the building over time. The vegetation also acts as a screen to insulate the building and diffuse light.
