Accessibility
These pages strive for accessibility, first by rigorously
adhering to W3C standards (so, for example, all images have alt
tags), and second by making sure that all actions can be performed with
the keyboard. The Old English at U.Va. homepage was the first to be
rewritten for accessibility; as I work through the rest of the site I will
keep accessibility in view. Please write
to me if you have difficulties with any of the pages here, or suggestions
for their improvement.
The main menu on the homepage can be accessed with the keyboard: hold
down the Alt
key and press the underlined letter. In the box that
appears, the first link will be focused. (The focused link is light green
in Netscape 7/Mozilla so that you can spot it more easily; Internet
Explorer does not support this feature.) Tab to the link you want and press
the Return key.
