Location
The workshop will be held in the University of Virginia's Newcomb Hall, the student center. A Google map can be found here. The street address for NewComb Hall is: 400 Emmet St. South, Charlottesville, VA 22903Parking
Hourly parking for visitors to the University can be found in several locations. The most convenient one is the Central Grounds Garage located on Emmet Street, directly below the University Bookstore (next to the NewComb Hall). The rate for this facility and all others (subject to change) can be found here. However, you may want to walk to the NewComb Hall if your hotel is within walking distance, since the weather in Charlottesville could be quite enjoyable in the fall.
Another option is to participate in the Culbreth Garage Occasional Parker Program. We will have about XX dashboard permits $??/day or $?? for the entire conference available for purchasing at the conference registration table. The Culbreth Road Garage is about 0.3 miles from the NewComb Hall and it can be located on the interactive map here (it's building 6 on this map).

Local Transportation
For transportation between the conference site and hotels or restaurants, one can take the free UTS buses, the CTS buses and the free trolley, or by walking (the best).
- The University provides free shuttle and bus services near the grounds (Charlottesville people call the UVa campus "the grounds"). For routes and schedule, see the UVa Transit Service (UTS) Site;
- For transportation further away from the grounds, you can use the Charlottesville Transit Service (CTS) (including the free trolley).
More information on restaurants locations will be added as they become available.
