Instances of Intelligent Design

Elizabeth Zachman | ARCH5710

The aim of this exhibit is to portray beauty and intentionality in design in nature. By showing a range of natural elements in the Autumn of Virginia and North Carolina, these images depict a beauty and at times divine or ephemeral quality in nature that could not possibly be the result of arbitrary evolutionary accidents, but were crafted beautifully, meticulously, and intricately. Especially from the perspective of an architect who spends his or her career creating beautiful things and spaces, it should be impossible to look at these images and not see the intelligence and intentionality if their creator.
