Double Resonance Pulse Sequence

The top panel shows the pulse sequence in time (top left) and in frequency (top right). The bottom panel shows a time-frequency transform of the pulse sequence, where the pulse is divided into 10 ns bins, and the Fourier transform of each bin is calculated and recorded. Thus, the frequency at any given time of the pulse sequence can be seen (shown by the brightness of the contour plot). In this experiment, the first MW pulse sweeps linearly from 7.5 - 14.0 GHz, and then the second pulse is set to a fixed resonant frequency (10439.57 MHz, 414-404 rotational transition). This double resonance experiment allows us to see which MW resonances share a level with the 414-404 rotational transition.
