In the time domain (top), the MW pulse sweeps linearly over 11 GHz in 1 microsecond, which excites the molecules by fast adiabatic passage.  The Fourier transform of the pulse (right) shows that near uniform field strength is achieved over 11 GHz (7.5 - 18.5 GHz) of bandwidth.
