Capstone Mentor Information

The following is a partial list (beginning in the fall of 2003) of faculty members who have served as capstone mentors. In looking for a Capstone mentor you should not limit yourself to the professors on this list. Any University of Virginia faculty member can be a Capstone mentor.

A mentor wears two hats. First, your mentor is a “domain expert” who helps you identify an appropriate capstone research problem, points you to the relevant research and assists you in interpreting and evaluating this research. Second, your mentor serves as a guide through the Capstone process setting deadlines, providing feedback and helping you implement an effective research plan.
