Graduate research opportunities
Prospective graduate students interested in working with Prof. Jaswal should contact him directly. Ideal candidates will have had research experience (though not necessarily in developmental psychology), as well as solid undergraduate training in psychology, linguistics, and/or cognitive science. Applicants should specify "developmental psychology" as their area of interest on the application form.
Graduate students in cognitive development at UVa are encouraged to get experience in multiple laboratories. Those who work with Prof. Jaswal may also be interested in working with Angel Lillard (Early Development Lab). To learn more about the cognitive development research at UVa, see the webpage for the Child Development Laboratories at UVa.
Additional information about Prof. Jaswal’s research is available on this website, or by contacting Prof. Jaswal directly. The Department’s website contains general information for current and prospective graduate students and the graduate program in developmental psychology.
