Alicia Evangelista takes second in the 2006 Undergraduate Research and Design Symposium! (5/3/2006) Our own Alicia Evangelista was one of a handful of seniors that were selected to present their research at the Undergraduate Research and Design Symposium in the Dome Room of Mr. Jefferson's Rotunda. From amongst these exceptional and deserving projects, Alicia's was honored with second place! Another BME student, Carlos Sevilla from Ed Botchwey's lab, was awarded third place. This is the second year in a row that students from our lab have been honored with awards in the URDS. We're damn proud of them! |

Johanne Python wins the 2005 Undergraduate Research and Design Symposium! Chosen from amongst many senior theses that were submitted, our own Johanne Python was one of a handful of students to present her research at the Undergraduate Research and Design Symposium in the Dome Room of Mr. Jefferson's Rotunda. From amongst all these advanced and highly innovative projects, Johanne's was honored as first place! The title of her thesis and presentation was "The Viscoelastic Properties of Receptor-Specific Membrane Tethers." Another BME student, Nathan Lewis from Yong Kim's lab, was awarded third place. |
