MI and Contractile Proteins
We are collaborating with Drs. Brent French and Zequan Yang to determine if alterations to contractile proteins are responsible for left ventricular dysfunctions following myocardial infarction.
We are collaborating with several other investigators to measure the mechanics of native selectin molecules. This work is important for the understanding of inflammatory diseases such as atherosclerosis.
We are measuring the mechanokinetics of the bonds formed between actin and myosin, and assessing the effects of non-specific interactions in actin-myosin systems.
