USCMS 2009, May 7-9 at the University of Virginia

We invite all members of the US Compact Muon Solenoid Collaboration to attend the 2009 USCMS meeting at The University of Virginia in Charlottesville. With first collisions expected this Summer, we look forward to an exciting opportunity to discuss prospects for first data and plans for 2009 running.

The University of Virginia and its surrounding area are rich in natural beauty and American history as well as many cultural attractions. We welcome the opportunity to acquaint you with the University, its environs, and the history of the area, including that of the University’s founder, Thomas Jefferson.

A registration fee of $120 includes a welcome reception (on the evening of May 7), daily breaks, and lunches. There will be a $60 fee per person for the conference banquet.

After April 1 a late registration fee of $30 will apply.

Events for the May 7-9 meeting include:

  • Thursday evening tours of UVa Grounds and welcome reception
  • Two full conference days Friday and Saturday with plenary and parallel sessions, lunch and breaks included
  • Friday evening conference banquet (optional but recommended)
