Active Projects
The lab is actively pursuing research in a diverse set of areas such as:
- Coordination in Conversation is a project that is measuring and modeling how people coordinate their movements and facial expressions as they speak to one another.
- Coordination in Dance is concerned with how people perceive, represent, and act when listening to musical rhythms.
- Dynamical Systems Analyses are statistical methods that allow better understanding of human dynamics by using techniques such as differential equations to build models for processes.
- OpenMx Structural Equation Modeling Software is an open source project that will provide statistical modeling capabilities for very large problems using distributed computing resources.
- Postural Control is a project that is measuring and modeling how people’s control of their posture changes as they age.
- Video Conferencing technology developed by members and colleagues of the lab is changing the way we think about telepresence.
