Participating Departments
Students in the SELIM Interdisciplinary Graduate Program obtain
their degree from an individual department. In consequence, an
application to UVa should be made into a Ph.D. program of a participating
department, noting your interest in the SELIM Fellowships.
Please:
1) Mention in your "statement of academic interests"
or "career objectives" essay on your application that
you are interested in the SELIM Fellowship Program directed by
Prof. Harrison.
2) Send an e-mail to Prof. Harrison (selim@virginia.edu)
to let him know that you are applying to our program through
a specific department. This will help us keep better track of
all the SELIM Fellowship applications.
SELIM Fellowships are available to students seeking an M.S. degree
in Materials Science at NSU. The SELIM Interdisciplinary Graduate
Program facilitates SELIM Fellows obtaining their M.S. degree
at NSU to seamlessly continue their graduate studies within UVa's
Ph.D. programs.
