The Hall Laboratory conducts biological research in the realms of genetics,
genomics and bioinformatics. At present, we are using high-throughput
experimental and computational approaches to study genome variation in
mammals. Active projects involve structural variation, cancer evolution, single
cell genome sequencing, and software development. We have a wet laboratory,
a high-performance computing cluster and access to DNA sequencers in the
core facility. We are located in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular
Genetics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine
