credit for courses taken abroad is not automatic. Students seeking
credit for courses on Italian literature or culture taken abroad
should make an appointment to see
Professor Adrienne Ward before leaving for Italy. Students
are advised to see Prof. Ward the semester preceding the one in
which they will be abroad. These appointments should be made during
the course of the semester, not during holidays or over the summer.
Students should bring a copy of the course descriptions and their
chosen abroad program to the meeting. Forms for transfer credit
can be obtained from Garrett Hall.
the College, once enrolled, may not transfer credit for any courses
leading to or fulfilling the foreign language requirement. The only
exception to this rule is for students who have received prior approval
to study the language in a country where it is the native language.
A 2.5 GPA is required to transfer credit from a study abroad program.
For more information on undergraduate requirements, consult information
found on the college's
arts and sciences link for undergraduates.
