Collection Project Poster

Presenting your collection project

After much agonizing over how to get all of you to present your projects, we came up with this solution: We will have a poster day. Each person or group will make up a poster using the suggested template below. Posters will be on display on Monday, April 28. The location is Engineering E303 from 12 noon to 2 PM. You will all have a chance to look at each other's posters and show them to your friends. Bob and I will also look and will select 4 representative projects. These four projects will present their work to the class during the lecture hour on Tuesday, April 29.

Poster template

This is actually a condensed version of your project write-up.

Title across the top

Page 1 &endash; thesis in large font

Page 2 &endash; project description

Smaller font, but bigger than 12 point

This can be followed by additional pages with:

Sample questionnaires may be included and these can be in 12 point

Pictures would be wonderful

Page 3 &endash; Analysis in about the same font size as page 2

What you need to do is state the main points succinctly

Include discussion if you need to. Basically, the full discussion should go in the paper and only the highlights should go here. You will put a copy of your paper next to your poster so that whoever looks at it and wants additional information can have a full discussion if they want one.

Page 4 &endash; conclusion in about the same font size as the thesis

Page 5 &endash; possible further research in a smaller font size. State here other things that might be worthwhile exploring, as indicated by the work you have already accomplished.
