Auditory Perceptual Organization
Demos
Using both phenomenal and quantitative methods, we are interested in how we group auditory information. We are especially interested in the relationship between grouping by pitch and grouping by temporal information.
By studying an insteresting musical illusion, in which vision influences perceived tone duration, we are trying to find out how visual and auditory information integrate. We found causality plays an important role in sensory integration.
Visual Perceptual Organization
One of our current research projects is figure-ground perception. We are trying to quantify the cues affecting figure-ground perception and explore how these cues work together - seperately or interact with each other.
