We are a team of three independent research laboratories at the University of Virginia. In 2006, our labs came together around a common thread - cardiovascular diseases (CVD) including heart disease, stroke, and peripheral artery disease -- the #1 killer in the western world. Today we are beginning to reveal new proteins and genes in blood vessels that cause these diseases. With our innovative technology, we are also discovering new functions for known proteins/genes.
