Role of microRNA-related polymorphisms in regulating heterotic gene expression in rice

The goal of this NSF-funded project is to investigate whether microRNA-related polymorphism between two rice subspecies, Oryza sativa spp indica and japonica, could form the basis of allelic interaction that leads to differential gene expression in their F1 hybrids.
