Solvent Purification System: an alternative to distillation, the solvents (acetonitrile, toluene, dichloromethane, and tetrahydrofuran) are run out of 19 liter drums through columns of activated Alumina to remove trace amounts of water. This is a much safer method for drying flammable solvents and, despite the initial set-up cost, is relatively cost effective.
