Located in Room 165 of the Chemistry Building, the facility is equipped with a Bruker SMART APEX CCD diffractometer and an Oxford Cryosystems 700 low temperature device. Measurements are carried out using MoKa radiation, usually at 120oC. The SHELXTL software (both the PC and Unix version) is used for the structure determination. The Cambridge Crystallographic Database (the Unix version) is available in the laboratory for extensive structural searches.
