Begun with the Provost's support and a small grant from the Virginia State Council of Higher Education Funds for Excellence in 1990, the Teaching Resource Center (TRC) is now a pan-University center for collegial community and committed conversation about teaching at all levels and in all academic disciplines. The TRC offers a number of services and resource materials designed to enhance the teaching abilities of faculty and teaching assistants at the University of Virginia. The TRC also administers several special programs, recognizing the skills and accomplishments of faculty, and aiding in the development of courses.
