EDHS 733-1: ETHICAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS OF COUNSELING
FALL 2007

APPLICATION, SYNTHESIS AND REVIEW

Instructor comments about topic

No new references or resources are assigned for this topic. As a review we will discuss "what would you do" scenarios based on realistic situations you might face as an entry level counselor.

Learning plan

We will learn by looking at cases to determine the proper course of action. In addition to the proper procedure a concern will be what ethical and legal principles apply. The cases discussed will be a review of the most important ethical and legal principles from the four previous topics. The case review will be the first part of the session and the second part of the session will be an "open question" session that can include questions about the mastery items from which the final exam will be sampled.

More details will be provided early in the course.
