EDHS 733-1: ETHICAL AND LEGAL ASPECTS OF COUNSELING
FALL 2006

DEALING WITH ETHICAL AND LEGAL VIOLATIONS

Instructor comments about topic

This will be the shortest topic for reading and study. However, we will discuss "what would you do" scenarios based of potential violations. Fortunately there are few violators but all counselors must be aware of their potential to harm the public and the profession.

Learning plan

We will learn by looking at cases to determine the proper course of action. In addition to the proper procedure a concern will be what ethical and legal principles apply.
