for accessing and using Tapped In discussion and chat
1. Link
to discussion site (click to follow link). This
link will take you to the EDHS 838-2 discussion site.
2.
Log-in. You will be prompted to register with a log on
ID and student ID to establish a password. Instructions
for registering are linked to this sentence. If you
have difficulty I will work with you on registration
during the first class meeting. We hare using Tapped In
rather than the University Toolkit discussion system because
Tapped In is easier for students to access from home and
it has a chat feature should the group want to try a group
chat.
3.
Create a posting. The best way to create a posting is to
use a word processing program (e.g. Word, Word Perfect)
to create the posting and use the copy and paste feature
to copy the text to the discussion
window. You will then need only to insert the topic and
submit the posting. Check the posting to insure that special
characters have copied properly.
