Sacred Harp hymns are 18th century spirituals with music that is written with notes of varying shapes according to their location on the scale. It is always sung four part a capella, and has a strongly layered, harmonic sound. No harps are used or involved, your voice is the instrument. Everyone is welcome, no experience necessary, loaner books available.
