What is ENWR 107?
A one-credit, pass/fail weekly workshop in English grammar and syntax, taken
in addition to ENWR 105/106/110/210/380. Geared towards ESL/ EFL students
with significant difficulties in English grammar and idiom. The course meets
once a week and involves no additional homework; students work on papers
they are writing in their other ENWR course.
If your ENWR students need a little extra convincing to join the
course, you might cut a deal: if they enroll, you won't count sentence-level
grammar and syntax against them when you grade; if they don't,
you will.
(Note: 107 does not usually begin until a few weeks into the semester.
Students should contact CAELC at caelc@virginia.edu for the precise
start date.)
