About Us
Michael Calamari, Ricky Herrmann, John MacKenzie, and Chris Martin are second year Systems Engineering students at the University of Virginia. They developed this database website as a project for their SYS2202, Data and Information Engineering, course. The project called for the creation of a music database with web-implementation. Thus, the Ultimate Music Database (UMDb) was formulated.
Three of the members are roommates in Lambeth 471-2, out of which the team name was established.
