I am a first year Ph.D student in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Genetics Department. As a rotation student in Dr. Yan’s lab, my project mainly focuses on finding new genes that might play a role in protecting mitochonria in response to stress. In addition, I am interested in autophagy genes and how they affect the function of mitochonria in fruit flies and mice under stress.
